CHANGING LIVES THROUGH JESUS CHRIST
PENTECOST/ MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION
This Sunday, May 11th, is Pentecost Sunday - the celebration of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Christ's Church.
It will also be a celebration of Mother's Day. We are delighted that we will have a Christian jazz pianist, Scott McDonald as one of our worship leaders Sunday. He will also be playing for our catered Mother's Day luncheon following church.
There will be a charge at the luncheon of $8 for adults and $5 for children 5-12. Children under 5 are free.
UPCOMING SERMONS
As we continue to celebrate Easter, we are sharing the post-resurrection stories and their meaning for our lives. Many of us find it difficult to trust fully - either God or each other. Experiences have been part of that - being hurt or disappointed. Come and listen to the way in which a life lived with Jesus Christ can restore our ability to trust and to fully live.
April 13 - Trusting Again after Loss
April 20 - Trusting Again after Doubt
April 27 - Trusting Again after Failure
May 4 - Waiting on God's Promises
May 11 - Dynamite!! (Pentacost and Mother's Day celebrations)
In April we will have a series called Heroes and Holiness - how ordinary people, filled with the Spirit of Christ, have become extraordinary heroes of the faith - and so can we.
FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY RETURNS
Our Financial Peace University course - the lively curriculum created by Dave Ramsey is going strong - the class is meeting every Thursday night in the church chapel at 7 p.m. Because of the immense popularity of the class, we are preparing to start a second group in May. Please contact the church office if you are interested.
